This is an exciting opportunity in Milton Keynes for a Snr Mechanical Engineer.

Cummins Electrified Power are a leading provider offlexible battery solutions for demanding automotive and powerapplications .

Your impactwill be seen in these and other ways:

  • _ By applying your specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices in the design, development, analysis and release of battery solutions.

  • You will create design specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance, product life, manufacture, assembly and service.

  • You will verify component and system capability designs using analysis and or functional testing, interpret results, drive decisions and assess risks.

  • You will work with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional teams to resolve product issues.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experienced Pro/ENGINEER / Creo user and Windchill PDMLink

  • Design for Manufacture, Design for Assembly

  • Experience in creation of and input to FMEA & DVP

  • Understanding of electrical components, and their function, calculations including tolerance, cost, weight, specification of materials and joining technologies

  • Knowledge & understanding of appropriate automotive safety regulations including ECE & SAE standards.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • _ College, University, or equivalent degree in Engineering required. Advanced degrees are a benefit
