This is an exciting opportunity in Milton Keynes for a Simulation & Modelling Engineer.

Cummins Electrified Power are a leading provider offlexible battery solutions for demanding automotive and powerapplications .

Your impactwill be seen in these and other ways:

  • Producing high quality stress and thermal analysis on battery components and assemblies using hand calculations, 1 to 3D CFD and FEA techniques

  • Analysing and directing recommendations for problem resolution / design improvement in support of the CAD team

  • _ By working effectively with the wider project teamsand providing accurate work in a timely fashion


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience of commercial stress analysis codes (e.g. ANSYS, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, MATHCAD, MATLAB )

  • Experience of commercial thermal analysis / CFD codes (e.g. GT Power, FLUENT, OpenFOAM, STAR-CD, Exa, Simulink)

  • Ideally you will also have knowledge of physical vehicle / battery test cycles for cooling system and stress sign-off

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • PhD, Masters of Science, Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in engineering required.
